The End Times with Ron Catlett

Ron Catlett Bio

I am 89 years old at the time of the recordings of these Podcasts. I was born in rural Georgia and moved to Arizona in 1943 for my father’s health. I was a newspaper boy for 3 ½ years then worked in the complaint department at the newspaper after school my junior and senior year of high school. I went to work for the telephone company in 1954 and retired in 1995 with over 40 years of service credit. I spent two of those years in the army as I was drafted in 1957. I got married in 1958 and in 1995 we moved to Texas to assist our single parent son raise our two grandchildren. In 2022 I lost my wife to Alzheimer’s. We have three children 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
I was raised going to church and was saved at the age of eleven during Vacation Bible School. I have not been a good Christian most of my life. Everything I knew about the Bible was through Sunday School, sermons or prophecy ministries. About ten years ago I started following Irvin Baxter from End Times Ministries and came to believe he had all the answers to God’s plan for the last days. Since Irvin Baxter had said there was no scripture of a seven year tribulation, I called a local pastor and asked what scripture says there is a seven year tribulation. His answer was Daniels 70th week and I was getting false teaching. The answer was devastating to me, so I called his church the next day and make an appointment to visit him. I took with me a set of 21 DVD’s of Revelation by Baxter so this Pastor would have the correct understanding of the End Times prophecy. He refused the DVD’s but during our one hour conversation I asked about the 1290 days and 1335 days at the end of the book of Daniel. He said the 45 days between these scriptures was the great supper of God and the 1290 days was the great tribulation and he gave me the words “made up”. I went home discouraged since I had not been able to convince anyone that Baxter had all the answers so I told God I quit but he wouldn’t let me. Then I realized this pastor had given me the key to the beginning of my journey of understanding God’s plan for the end time. Since the great supper of God happens after the Battle of Armageddon then the 1290 days had to be the 2nd coming of Jesus. The great tribulation is 1260 days long (Daniel 12.7) then the rapture has to be 30 days before the 2nd coming of Jesus. My journey to understanding God’s plan for the end time becomes clearer as each additional prophetic scripture is understood.

Summary/Other Sources

During a recent television presentation by Lamb and Lion Ministries, I believe they gave clues to when Jesus will return.  Hosea 6:2-3 and the year 2033 were mentioned.  Jesus said we would not know the day nor the hour of his return, but he did not say anything about the week, month or year?  Following is what I believe these clues mean but the year might not be correct:

In 2 Peter 3:8, it says that with the Lord one day is a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.  In Hosea 6:2, after 2 days (two thousand years) Jesus will return and reign on the earth for one day (one thousand years).  Hosea 6:3 says he left at dawn and will return in the spring.  If Jesus left at dawn in the springtime, will he be returning 2,000 years later in the spring at dawn also?  We would have no understanding of the Hosea verses without the Second Peter verse.

Another source, Wikipedia, concludes that Jesus was most likely crucified on April 3, 33AD.  While other dates are possible, believers can take assurance from the fact that the most important historical events in Jesus’ life, such as the crucifixion, are firmly anchored in human history.
